JOSEPHINE A. BENNETT, 75, of Route 3 North Stratford, died at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster on Monday, May 29, 2023, after a period of failing health, with her family by her side.

Josephine was born on June 26, 1947, in Berlin, NH a daughter of the late Roy Paul and Blanche Mae (Hand) Goodale. She was a lifelong resident of North Stratford. She was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1965.

Over the years Josephine worked for the Stratford Plywood Company; Campbell Envelope; and Ames Department Store.

Josephine was a thirty-plus-year member of the Crafty Ol' Birds crocheting and knitting club and received the Citizen of the Year certificate for their dedication and donations.

She enjoyed canning; pickling; playing cards and BINGO.

Josephine is survived by her two children Michele Bennett and Steven M. "Pucky" Bennett both of North Stratford; one grandson Keagan Grondin of Milan; one brother Ed Goodale and wife Christine; and one sister Nancy Bishop all of Stratford; one niece Sarah Goodale and one nephew Scott Bishop.

She was predeceased by in addition to her parents; one brother Ray Goodale.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Center Cemetery in North Stratford, NH,  with Rev. Cindi Grassi officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
