JOSHUA EGAN SIMPSON, SR ., 41, of Groveton died suddenly after an accident on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Joshua was born on January 3, 1980, a son of Arthur Roland Simpson and Carlene June (Egan) Simpson. He was a lifelong resident of Groveton.

Josh was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1998. He was a laborer for the Laborers' International Union of North America, Local 668, and most recently worked odd jobs locally to be closer to his boys.

Josh enjoyed tinkering, mechanics, cutting trees, and carpentry. His biggest enjoyments were hanging with his boys and driving around in his truck.

Josh is survived by his two young sons Joshua Simpson, Jr., and Sean Simpson; his common-law wife Jill Normand all of Groveton; father and step-mother Arthur "Skip" and Anne Simpson of Ocala, FL; sister Ann Beland and husband Mike of Milo, ME; brother Dale Simpson and wife Laura of Georgetown, SC and his twin Eric Simpson of Colebrook; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother Carlene Simpson on October 27, 2015.

Josh would not have wanted any services, he would want everyone to live life to the fullest, love one another and remember the good times. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
