JOYCE ANN (KNAPP) MORSE, 74, of Fiske Street, Groveton died Monday December 8, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Born June 2, 1934 in Groveton, New Hampshire a daughter of Leslie and Bertha (Hendrick) Knapp, she lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1952 and was a member of the Groveton Untied Methodist Church. Before retiring in 1999 she worked for A.V.H. Home Health. She loved to crochet, do crafts, go camping and spend time with her grandchildren. Joyce was wonderful and loving and the best wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law anyone could ask for. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Joyce is survived by her husband of 38 years James Joseph Morse Sr. of Groveton; her children Gerard Landers of Berlin, NH; Dana Landers of Massachusetts; Stanley Landers of Florida; Shelley Bussey of Maine; John "Jackie" McAenney of South Carolina; Rhonda LaFlamme of Whitefield, NH; Rose Fieira of Methuen, Mass.; and James Joseph Morse, Jr. of Queensbury, NY; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren and one brother Donald Knapp of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was predeceased by her son Richard Landers in 2007 and a brother Maynard Knapp in 2006. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 11:00am until 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Aaron Cox, pastor of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Northumberland Cemetery.
