JUDITH "JUDY" JOSEPHINE (PLATT) ROCK, 76, formerly of Marietta Lane, died peacefully at The Morrison in Whitefield, after a lengthy illness, with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born on July 7, 1945, in Lancaster, NH a daughter of the late James Erwin and Leona Agnes Platt.
Judy was a graduate of Groveton High School, Class of 1963. Before retiring in 2004, she worked in the dietary department at Weeks Medical Center. She loved BINGO, she worked at the St. Francis Xavier Church hall assisting with Bingo for many years. She also enjoyed word searches; computer games; crocheting; going for rides and spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her husband of 22 years Wendell Rock of Spring Hill, FL; her children Rebecca "Becky" Paquette (Karl Sawyer) of Groveton; Bruce Paquette and wife Karen of Pittsfield, NH; Marshall "Tiger" Laundry III and wife Kari of Groveton; and James Laundry and wife Jennifer of Hardwick, VT; her step-children Lori Duenas (David Hebert) of Spring Hill, FL; Peggy Grant and husband Steve of Belmont, NH; and Paul Rock (Kate Valdez) of Danville, VT; 15 grandchildren; 2 step- grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother James Platt and wife Priscilla of Whitefield; sister Wanda Fontaine and husband Albert of Groveton; sister-in-laws Dolores Platt of Groveton; and Norma Kimball of Vermont; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; granddaughter Kathleen Laundry on December 26, 2020; brother Clyde Platt on December 25, 2020 and one sister-in-law Yvette Walker..
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State St.; Groveton. Funeral service will follow immediately after at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church officiating.
Graveside service will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the Northumberland Cemetery with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judy's name to the Alzheimer's care fund C/O The Morrison; 6 Terrace Street; Whitefield, NH 03598.
