Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we share the loss of our beloved daughter, Katelyn Sue Grant, lovingly known as Katie. Our hearts are broken as we grieve her passing. Katie brought light, love, and laughter into our lives, and we want to honor her with the farewell she deserves.

Katie fought a brave and difficult battle with cancer at a very young age and came out cancer-free. Doctors called her a living miracle. Sadly, this final battle took her from us far too soon.

Katie was born on June 19, 2001, in Lebanon, NH, and died suddenly on December 12, 2025, in Williamstown, VT, where she had lived most of her life.

Katie loved taking photos of everything and was a selfie-aholic; she loved the outdoors, listening to music, and learning new things. She also loved animals, especially dolphins, and collected anything and everything dolphin. Her greatest love, though, was her two beautiful boys, Lucas and Grayson.

Katie was not only a daughter. Katie was so much more than that; she was a mother, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, and cousin.

Katie leaves behind her two beautiful children, Lucas Joel Bashaw (6) and Grayson Michael Bashaw (3), who meant everything to her.

Katie is also survived by her mother and step-father, Laurie Cass and Jason Clough; biological father Jeff Fysh and father Aaron Grant Sr.; her siblings, Autumn Brick (Jesse Powers), Aaron Grant Jr, Damian Clough, Lydia Clough, Samantha Clough, Jennifer Clough, Ethan Clough, Ryan Clough, and Tricia Fysh (Dylan Cavalero); her grandparents, Janice and David Ashford and Rhonda and Wendell Grant; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and her nieces and nephew and many loving friends.

Katie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Karen Fysh, and step-paternal grandparents, Dennis and Beverly Clough.

A private family-only service will be held at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Burial will be in the spring of 2026, in the Pittsburgh Hollow Cemetery in Pittsburgh, NH.

The family would like to thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
