LAWRENCE "LARRY" "BO-DIDDLY" DENNIS BENOIT, 88, of Winter Street, Groveton died peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at The Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, with his loving daughter by his side.

Larry was born in Northumberland, NH on November 28, 1934, the son of the late George J. and Mary (Hamel) Benoit. He has been a lifelong resident of Groveton. Before retiring in 1999, Larry worked as an oiler for Groveton Paper Board; James River; and Wausau Papers.

Larry was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Conservation Committee and the Groveton Fish and Game. He loved hunting; fishing; tying flies; and making his own fishing lures. Larry was a man whom never complained.

Larry is survived by his daughter Sharon Benoit and sister Shirley Bouchard both of Groveton; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by wife of 53 years Barbara (Hall) Benoit on December 7, 2014.

Graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery, with Fr. Britto Adaikalam of the Gate of Heaven Parish in Lancaster, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
