LENA PEARL (FOSTER) JOHNSON, 82, died Sunday June 8, 2008 at Laurel Hill Health Care Center in Winchester, CT after a lengthy illness. She was born in Groveton, NH a daughter of Melvin James and Gertrude (Sweet) Foster. Lena was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1945 and lived there until 1949 when she met and married her first husband B. Steven McCray, whom predeceased her, and moved to Foxboro, Mass., where she lived until late 2000 when she moved to Simsbury, Conn. then to New Hartford a few months ago. Lena worked as a factory worker for Foxboro, Inc. until she retired in 1980. She is survived by her son Clyde McCray and wife Janet of New Hartford, CT; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. At Lena's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Northumberland Cemetery on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton Untied Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
