LEROY ALBERT POTTER, of Lancaster Road, died peacefully on July 10, 2014 at his residence after a short illness with his family by his side, just eleven days before his 74th birthday. Born in Clarksville, NH on July 21, 1940 he was a son of Linwood Potter Sr. and Lavona (Marsh) Potter and was a resident of Northumberland most of his life. Leroy was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. Before retiring he was a loader operator for Carroll Concrete. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 17 in Groveton. Leroy loved watching his son Randy (02NH) race at Riverside Speedway and other racetracks during his career. He also enjoyed four-wheeling with friends; spending time with his grandchildren and making his daily rounds. Leroy is survived by his two children Betty Tyler and husband Arland and Randy Potter and wife Andrea all of Groveton; his four grandchildren Chad; Cameron; Kayla and Sydney; his siblings Linwood Potter, Sr. of North Stratford; Lenard Potter of Bristol, NH; Leona McKearney; Rainey Allin both of North Stratford; and Debbie Doolan of Whitefield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and wife of 45 years Natalie "Nan" (Sweatt) Potter on September 10, 2008. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 5 - 7 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in the Lincoln Plantation Cemetery in Wilson Mills, ME.
