LESLIE "LES" J. BEAUDOIN, 65, of Stark died peacefully Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family. Born in Woodstock, NH on May 16, 1940 he was raised by his mother Rose (Fox) and step-father Glenn McAffee. He was a graduate of Linwood High School class of 1958. For the past several years he has wintered in Port Richie, Florida and summered in Island Pond, Vermont and resided at his step-daughter's in Stark most recently. Before retiring he worked for 40 years as a machine tender for Groveton Paper Company, Diamond International, James River Corp and retired in 1998 from Wausau Papers. He was a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Groveton. He loved to watch his two grandson race at Riverside Speedway and White Mountain Motor Sports Park in Woodstock. He loved playing horseshoes and was an avid bowler, playing on teams in Florida and in Lancaster, NH. Les is survived by his wife of 18 years Doris A. Laflamme Beaudoin of Stark; son Kevin Beaudoin of Mass.; three daughters Melissa Beaudoin of Mass., Emily Beaudoin of Claremont, NH and Christina Beaudoin of Dalton, NH; six step-children and their spouses Roland "Rollie" and Deb Laflamme of Groveton, Susan and Dennis Croteau of Stark; Debbie and Mike Pilotte of Whitefield; Janice and Tom Meunier of Groveton; Randy and Robin Laflamme of Littleton and Patrick and Rhonda Laflamme of Whitefield; 19 grand and step grandchildren; one step-brother Harrison McAffee; a few aunts and an uncle. He was predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. Mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Church; 11 State Street; Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau pastor officiating. Burial of Cremains will be in Northumberland Cemetery on Monday September 19th at 11:00 AM. Les was an organ donor and donated his corneas to the New England Organ Bank in hopes to help someone else. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Les' name to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; One Medical Center Drive; Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
