Lorraine Champagne,88, of Littleton and formerly of Whitefield died peacefully on October 14, 2016 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia after a lengthy illness.
Lorraine was born on September 2, 1927 in Walden, VT a daughter of Charles Henry and Kate Alice (Sanborn) Kittredge.
Lorraine and her husband Roger owned and operated grocery stores in Dalton and Twin Mountain, NH. She was a former member of the Sisters of the Skillet Club, and she loved cats.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Champagne of Smithfield, PA; son Truman Champagne and wife Marlene of Littleton, NH; two grandchildren, Brandon Warhurst and wife Marguerita and Kim Willey and husband Craig; four great-grandchildren, McGowan Willey, Alana Willey, Gabriela Warhurst, and Marguerita "Gretel" Warhurst; one sister, Anna McFarland of Lyndonville, VT; several nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roger Champagne, and two brothers, Kenneth Kittredge and Walter Kittredge.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the St. Rose of Lime Cemetery in Littleton with Sister Monique Couture officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorraine's name to either a children's charity such as St. Jude's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
