LORRAINE EMILIA (ARSENAULT) POTTER, 89, of Stratford, NH, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, with her loving family by her side, after a lengthy illness.
Lorraine was born in Bridgeport, CT, on November 26, 1935, to the late Oliver Levi and Emilia Maryann (Moren) Arsenault. She graduated from Bridgeport High School.
Over the years, Lorraine worked for Tillotson Rubber Co., as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Country Village Health Care, and took care of her parents until their passing. In her spare time, she was a First Responder with the Groveton Ambulance Corp for many years.
Lorraine enjoyed riding the four-wheeler, crocheting, knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and baking. She was known for her homemade cakes and cookies.
Lorraine is survived by her children Gary O'Neil and wife Winnie of Colebrook, Debra Reynolds and husband Rodney of Stratford, Glenn O'Neil of Stratford, Kenneth O'Neil and wife Tammy of West Chesterfield, NH, Diane Schooner and David Rouse of Stratford, David Potter and wife Sandy of Stratford, Linwood Potter III "Frog" and wife Shelley of Groveton, and Wendy Beaton and husband Mike of Groveton, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a few great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Linwood Potter Jr on July 17, 2014, two brothers Roger Arsenault and Raymond Arsenault Sr, one sister-in-law Grace Arsenault, two grandsons Michael Schooner Jr, and Troy "Big Daddy" Schooner, and one son-in-law Michael Schooner Sr.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery in Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorraine's name to the North Country Home Health and Hospice, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561.
