LORRAINE "WINCH" MARIE (HARDING) ROY, 72, of Hill Avenue in Colebrook, died peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 2, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 12, 1940 in West Stewartstown, NH the daughter of Norman and Rose (Harding) Little. Lorraine was adopted by and raised by her maternal grandparents Fred and Lillian (Gagne) Harding. She was a graduate of the Vergennes Union High School in Vermont. She has been a resident of Colebrook for 40 years. Over the years Lorraine worked for IBM; Connecticut Power and Light in payroll; MMI as Assistant Office Manager and was a bartender at the Colebrook House. She enjoyed camping; doing puzzles; cross-word puzzles and visiting with her friends. Lorraine is survived by her two daughters Carmen and Richard Rougeau of Canaan, VT and Nancy and Nathan Purrington of Colebrook, NH; four grandchildren Crystal Harding; Nathaniel Rougeau; Michael Duke and Natalie Purrington; two great grandchildren Brandan Kenney and Jordan Harding; four siblings Shirley; Carol; Teddy; and Bobby and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Louis Roy on July 2, 2011. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Village Cemetery in Canaan, Vermont with Fr. Craig Cheney officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
