LORRAINE P. (TIPPITT) TETREAULT, 83, of Garden Way, Groveton, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Week's Medical Center. She was a 33 year breast cancer survivor. Born July 17, 1927 in Northumberland, NH a daughter of Robert and Ellen (Morgan) Tippitt she was a lifelong resident and graduated Groveton High School, class of 1946. Lorraine was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church. She enjoyed a good card game, especially cribbage and blurt. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, and sewing and always had a supply of chocolate chip cookies and soup on hand. She enjoyed spending time sitting outside with neighbors and family and shooting the breeze. Until recently she also enjoyed her coffee. She was always lending a helping hand to family and friends. After the passing of her son Brad in 1997 Lorraine was a great support and assisted with his three children. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Raymond Tetreault of Groveton; three children Michael Tetreault and wife Debbie of Brunswick, VT; Barbara Tetreault of Berlin; and James "Tater" Tetreault of Groveton; daughter-in-law Sandy Tetreault-Gray and husband Harold of Groveton; four grandchildren Jenn Bennett and husband Jon; Suzanne Curtis and husband Adam; Lauren Tetreault and Nathan Tetreault; one great-granddaughter Carrington Elise Bennett. Two sisters Doris Tetreault of Groveton and Evelyn Miller of Northumberland and one brother Robert Tippitt of Stark along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. Lorraine was predeceased by her son Bradley on February 7, 1997; four sisters Sarah Newton; Hilda LeMay; Alice Parker; Lucy Allen and one brother Warren Tippitt. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 17 at 11:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Interment will be in the spring in the Northumberland Cemetery.
