Obituary

Louis A. Boudrias, 76, of Railroad Street Lancaster, NH and longtime resident of Groveton, NH, died peacefully at his home on April 22, 2016.  Louis was born in Padoue, Canada, to Urgel and Adrienne Boudrias in 1939.  He, along with his family, moved from La Redemption to Groveton, NH in 1951.

After graduating from Groveton High School, Louis served in the United States Army reserve.  He worked at the paper mill in town and was most widely known as the "belt man".   Louis also served the mill as an officer in the local union.  He retired from Wausau Papers in 1998 after 36 years of service.

Louis enjoyed life in many ways:  the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and snowmobiling.  He loved woodworking and was a real problem solver.  He enjoyed canoe trips up the Allagash waterways and stays along the Maine coast.  He and his wife, Heather would often go for rides in the countryside.  Louis was an avid fan of Groveton Eagle Basketball.  He enjoyed auto racing whether it was NASCAR or Riverside Speedway.

Louis loved his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ and served in his local church for a number of years.  He also loved his family. He was predeceased by his late wife, Heather, to whom he was married for over 35 years.  Louis is survived by his son, Mark Boudrias, his daughter, Kecia Hemphill, her husband Chad Hemphill and two grandsons, Crandell and Carson Hemphill.  He is also survived by his sister, Raymonde Bilodeau and her husband Don, and many nieces and nephews.  He was affectionately known as "Uncle Louis" to many.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005, or to Groveton High School Athletic Program in care of Brock Ingalls; 65 State St.; Groveton, NH 03582.
