MADELEINE MARTHA-MARY BELANGER died on November 21, 2014, just nine days before her 70th birthday at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook after a lengthy illness. Madeleine was born on December 1, 1944 in St. Mathias de'Bonnetere, Quebec a daughter of Fernand and Adrienne (Duchesneau) Belanger and has been a resident of North Stratford most of her life. She was a graduate of Stratford High School class of 1963. Over the years she worked for the veneer and plywood mills in North Stratford; for PJ Noyse in Lancaster and for 29 years making balloons and other items for functions at the Balsams Hotel and Resort. Madeleine will be remembered by all who knew her as being a real comic and always having a joke or trick for you. Madeleine is survived by her five siblings, Adrien Belanger of Whitefield, NH; Fernande Sequin of Island Pond, VT; Denise Reindeau of Cumberland, RI; Roger Belanger of West Stewartstown, NH; and Rita Koch of North Stratford, NH; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Adrienne on April 22, 1996; father Fernand on March 7, 2001 and one sister Doris Dowse. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church in North Stratford with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in North Stratford. Arrangements are entrust to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
