MARGO "MAGGIE" GENEST COLLINS, 55 of Beech Street, Newport, died peacefully at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon on Tuesday June 9, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Born December 14, 1953 in Manchester, NH a daughter of Albert O. and Beatrice (Chase) Genest, she lived in Manchester until moving to Berlin in 1995 and then to Newport in late 2005. Maggie was employed at the Norge Village Laundry Services until she was unable to work due to her illness. She was a member of AA Berlin Chapter. Maggie is survived by her two daughters Renee Genest in Newport, NH and Chantel Genest of Skowhegan, Maine; three grandchildren Donald Genest; Shaylah Genest and McKenzie Genest; sister Beatrice Raiche and husband Roger Espling of Allenstown and one brother Robert "Bob" Cable of Fayetteville, North Carolina; many nieces; nephews; great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Beatrice Vaillancourt in 1983; father Albert in 1999; husband Donald Collins in 1994 and two brothers William Cable, Sr. and Leon Cable. Calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral Service will follow immediately after at the funeral home with Pastor Dana Hoyt of the Heritage Baptist Church officiating.
