MARK FRANCIS NORMANDEAU went to be with his maker, one month before his 42nd birthday, due to complications of his Downs Syndrome. Born in Lancaster, NH on December 7, 1966 to Gary F. and Beatrice S. (Camire) Normandeau he has been a lifelong resident of Groveton. Mark attended Groveton schools through the twelfth grade. He loved skiing and bowling and had many medals and trophies. He participated in the State and Local Special Olympics for thirty years. He was well known through out the communities of Groveton and Colebrook. He loved people and touched many lives. He always had a smile and hug for the ones he knew and a hand shake for anyone he met. "His sense of humor was legendary." He enjoyed his music and books and was never without his famous "walkman". Mark was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish (St. Francis Church) in Groveton for many years. He was employed at Vershire in the Groveton Program. Mark is survived by his parents Gary and Beatrice Normandeau of Groveton; two brothers Barry Normandeau and Dennis Normandeau and his wife Cindy; two sisters Kelly Fitch and husband Charles III; and Sharon Wilkinson and husband Jon all of Lancaster, NH along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was predeceased by his grandmother; Grammy Rose, whom was such a big part of his life. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday November 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, with Fr. Craig Cheney officiating. Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 am in the St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to be made to either the Vershire Groveton Program; Melcher Street; Groveton, NH 03582 or to St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish; 11 State Street; Groveton, NH 03582.
