MARY ELVIRA (MILLS) LABINE, 80, of Canaan, NH, and Middleburg, FL, died peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the New London Hospital in New London, NH, after a brief battle with tongue cancer.
Mary was born on March 29, 1940, in West Hartford, VT a daughter of Percy Beecher Mills, Sr., and Lizzie May (Carter) Mills. She attended White River Junction schools and lived in Vermont and New Hampshire until moving to Florida in 1983. Mary and her husband Richard have summered in New Hampshire and wintered in Florida for the past 38 years.
Mary is survived by her husband Richard H. Labine of Canaan, NH and Middleburg, FL; children Cheryl Welch of White River Junction, VT; Donna Tetreault of Enfield, NH; Lonna Stanley of Lebanon, NH; Michele Robert of Enfield, NH; and Robert Labine of Canaan, NH; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; one sister Sue Armstrong of Middleburg, FL and two brothers Percy B. Mills, Jr., of Lyndeborough, NH, and Gerald Mills of Plainfield, NH, and many nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sons Richard Labine, Jr.; Bruce Parker in 1995; two grandsons Curtis Parker in 1995, and Cody Parker in 2013, one brother Garnet Mills; and four sisters Irene Hill; Rita Hill; Fern Lusco; and Freida Cooley.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State St.; Groveton, NH. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021, in the Christian Street Cemetery in White River Junction, VT.
