Maurice "Moe" Costa, Jr passed away peacefully at his home in Groveton, NH on November 7, 2019, at the age of 81.
Born Maurice A. Costa Jr., in Fall River, Massachusetts on February 9, 1938, the son of Maurice A. Costa, Sr. and Alice (Botelho) Costa. He has been a resident of the Groveton area since 1987. Before retiring he worked as a press machine operator for Havoc Industries.
Maurice is a veteran of the US Air Force. He loved mowing lawns or just riding around on his lawnmower and he also loved hunting.
He is survived by his brother Kenneth Costa of Bay Minette, AL, his sons Gerald "Jerry" Crompton and Jerilyn Vieira of Groveton, NH, and David Crompton and his wife Sherrie of Stonington, Ct, six grandchildren (Michael, Jordan, Jay, Samantha, Ian and Eva), eight great-grandchildren and his niece Kelly (Costa) Zayas.
He is predeceased by his father Maurice, mother Alice, brother "Chucky" Costa, beloved son Timothy J. Crompton and his wife and eternal love, Carole C. Costa, who passed away November 19, 2017. While he loved his family dearly, he yearned to reunite with his soulmate and partner of over 50 years.
The family will hold private services at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
