MAURICE D. ROBINSON, 67, of Brown Road died peacefully on Sunday May 11, 2014 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness with his family by his side. He was born on December 8, 1946 in Lancaster, NH a son of Ira H. and Evelyn (Brigham) Robinson and was a lifelong resident of Groveton. Maurice was known by many as the "Mopar Lover"; he loved NASCAR and Riverside Racing; he was a woodworker and enjoyed building things including furniture. He was a great mechanic; enjoyed spending time in his garage and was a lover of muscle cars. Most of all Maurice loved to spend time with his grandchildren and was quite the teaser. He worked for thirty-nine years and nine months at Groveton Paper Board retiring when they closed in 2005. Maurice is survived by his wife of 47 years Nancy (Johnson) Robinson of Groveton; two sons Dean Robinson and wife Jen of Lancaster and Scott Robinson and wife Kasey of Groveton; seven grandchildren Matthew Hunnington; Scott Hunnington; Tiffany Marier; Kylie Robinson; Calob Robinson; Hayley Nutting and Cooper Dean Robinson. He is also survived by one sister Shirley Manchester of Groveton; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Ira and Evelyn Robinson; one sister Judy Farrow and one brother Richard Robinson. Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
