MICHAEL "MJ" JOHN MORRIS, 49, of Houston, TX and formerly of Groveton, NH, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, September 21, 2020.
Michael was born on October 27, 1970, in Rutland, VT. He was a resident of Lancaster from 2000 to 2007 and Groveton from 2007 until moving to Houston one year ago.
Michael loved to cook; do wood carvings; fish; golf; play pool; reading; singing; and dancing. He was very proud of his Native American ancestry; attended many Pow-Wows; and made dream catchers and Native American jewelry.
MJ is survived by his father Philip C. Morris, Sr. of Groveton; mother and step-father Margaret and Jeffrey Lane of North Smithfield, RI; four children Anthony Morris and wife Aaliyah of Lancaster; Briana Belisle-Fielder and husband Brad of Bridge City, TX; Justice Morris; and Emmily Morris and her fiancee Katlyn Terry all of Whitefield; the mother of his children Kimberly Morris of Groveton; his siblings Mary Guardyak; Jimmy Bombard; Carl Mauer; Paula Morris; Thomas Morris; Philip Morris, Jr.; and Britini Cummings; his grandchildren Mylo; Anthony "AJ" Jr.; Graysin; Nicholas; Tara; Brooklynn; and Isabella; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State St.; Groveton, NH. A funeral service will be held immediately after at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael's memory to the American Cancer Foundation at cancer.org
