MICHAEL PERLEY SWIFT, 70, of Groveton, died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, after a sudden illness, with his loving family by his side.

Mike was born on July 1, 1952, in Lancaster, NH the son of the late Millard "BoBo" Allen and Geraldine "Gerry" Mae (Johnson) Swift. He was a lifelong resident of the Groveton/Stark area.

Perley, as he was known, was a graduate of Groveton High School class of 1971. He was a huge NASCAR and New York Yankees fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends whether at camp; family reunions; or on his Harley-Davidson.

Perley was a member of the Local 131 Plumbers and Pipe-fitters Union; he had worked at the local paper mill for ten years.

He was a Gilkey F&AM Masonic Lodge 101 member in Groveton and the Sons of the American Legion, post 17.

Perley is survived by his "birthday present" sister Lori Hibbard and husband Maurice "Moe" of Stark; two nephews Kienan Hibbard, wife Mary, and children Nolin and Emilie; and Nolan Hibbard and his children Cyrus and Kinley; one aunt Janice "Niecie" Hopps; numerous cousins; his ex-wife Brenda Whipple; and extended family members.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Center Cemetery in North Stratford, with Fr. Timothy Brooks of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lancaster officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
