MILLICENT "MILLIE" JANE (CLOUTIER) GONYER, 75, formerly of Old Village Road, Groveton died peacefully Monday, December 23, 2013, at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 20, 1938 a daughter of Antonio and Cecile (Roy) Cloutier in Lancaster, NH. He was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1956. Millie was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish/St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton. She was very active in the Community Affairs at the church until she was unable to due to her health. In her younger years she worked in the deli department at the S & W Market then she worked in the cafeteria at both Groveton Elementary School and Groveton High School until she retired in 2007. She also worked for individuals cleaning homes. She enjoyed camp at South Pond in Stark; bowling and was a member of the Knitting Club. Millie sponsored a girl in Kenya from 2003 until 2008 through the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. She is survived by her children James M. Gonyer and wife Roxann of Groveton; Dana Gonyer of Northumberland and Kelley Brooks and husband John Jr. of Lancaster; three grandchildren Mandy Valdez; Deagan Gonyer and Delenn Brooks and three great-grandchildren Malakai Valdez; Triston Valdez and Aunahka Valdez. Millie was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 51 years James D. Gonyer on April 30, 2008. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 27th from 6 - 8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Inurnment will be on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery.
