MINNIE HELEN EGAN, 80 , of Colby St. in Colebrook, died peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Coos County Nursing Hospital in Stewartstown after a lengthy illness.

Minnie was born on September 30, 1940, in Stewartstown, NH the daughter of Howard Morris Hart and Ida Maude (Jordan) Hart. She was raised by her mother and adopted father Fred Martel as her father passed when Minnie was very young.

Minnie grew up in Colebrook and was a graduate of Colebrook Academy, class of 1958, after graduation, she and her husband Lenny moved to Alabama for a few years then settled in Massachusetts for thirty years before returning to New Hampshire in 2000 where they resided for ten

years in Groveton and back to Colebrook in 2010.

Minnie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Groveton American Legion Post 17 Auxiliary.

Minnie is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Lenord "Lenny" Egan of Colebrook; one son Greg Egan of Douglas, MA; several grandchildren; three brothers Leonard Martel of Vermont; Camille Martel and Pete Martel both of Colebrook and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and two sons Fred and Mike.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021, in the Center Cemetery in Stratford, NH. Arrangements are entrusted to the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Minnie's name to the American Legion Post 17 Auxiliary; 206 State St.; Groveton, NH 03582.
