Obituary

MOLISSIA DAISY (EASTMAN) STINSON, 90, of Stratford, joined her loving husband Bert in Heaven, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, after a lengthy illness, with her loving family by her side.

Molissia was born on July 16, 1934, in Porter, ME a daughter of the late Clayton E. and Mary E. (Whitten) Eastman. She was one of fourteen children. She attended schools in Porter, ME.

Before retiring, she worked for Campbell Envelope and Stratford Plywood Company in Stratford for many years.

Molissia was a deeply caring and talented person with a strong sense of community and family. She took great pride in her family. Molissia was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Stratford. She was well known for her many talents that consisted of baking, canning, knitting, and crocheting. She poured her love into everything she created. She shared her skills with so many, from crocheting afghans and knitting numerous Christmas stockings, tree skirts, hats and mittens for loved ones and those in need. She loved attending school and sporting events. Molissia was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan and took great joy in watching games with her family. Her contributions to both her family and community has left a lasting impact

Molissia is survived by her five children Richard of Stratford and his daughter Stephanie of Manchester, NH; Robert and wife Donna Stinson of Groveton, NH and their children Amanda and husband David Dickson of New Hampton, NH; Daniel and wife Meghan Stinson of Jefferson, NH and Katie and husband Jason Potter of Whitefield, NH; Berta and husband Richard Donovan of Enfield, CT and their sons Andrew and wife Bethany of Belfair, WA; Thomas and fiancée Shanna of Chicago, IL; Charlotte and husband Merle Smith II of Mansfield, CT; and their children Merle III Smith of Vernon, CT; Marvin Smith of Mansfield, CT; Austin Smith of Mansfield, CT; Alicia Madore of Strafford, CT; Dominique Smith and Jonathan of Stratford, CT; and Patricia and husband Harlan Connary of Stratford, NH and their children Sheila and husband Peter Sanfilippo of Conway, NH, Jonathan Connary and husband Lasander Reese of Springfield, MA; April and husband Jonathan Hand of Columbia, NH; and Avyanna Connary of Stratford, NH; She also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; her brothers Reginald and wife Yvonne of Sarasota, FL; Herbert of Porter, ME; and sister Celia and husband Delbert Harrington of Cornish, ME.

Molissia was predeceased by her first granddaughter Mary Sharon Connary in 1983 and her husband of 43 years, Bert Stinson in 1995.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State St., Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 59 Main St., Stratford, NH, with Fr. Daniel Deveau pastor officiating. Burial will be on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 am in the Fairview Cemetery on Old Mill Rd, Stratford, NH.
