MURIEL GRACE (FOURNIER) NORMANDEAU, 86, of the Lafayette Center in Franconia, formerly of Central Ave. in Groveton, died peacefully at the Lafayette Center on September 4, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born on July 16, 1928 in Groveton, NH a daughter of Henry and Ada (Cheeseman) Fournier, she was a lifelong resident of Groveton until moving to Franconia. Muriel was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1946. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She worked for many years at the Cambell Envelope Co. Muriel is survived by one son Lance and Belinda Normandeau of Groveton; one daughter Amber May Terrien of Colebrook; two grandchildren, Katrina Morse and Tyler Sharp and five great-grandchildren; one brother Lennie Fournier of Groveton; two nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Roland "Rolly" Normandeau on December 26, 2012. At Muriel's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00 am in the St. Francis Cemetery with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Marguerite Parish officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
