NANCY JEANNE (SOULE) HAVRDA, 72, of Route 3 North Stratford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018, just seven weeks after her husband of 52 years.

Jeanne was born on August 15, 1945 in Alburg, VT a daughter of Robert T. Soule, Sr. and Lorraine (Paquette) Soule.  She has been a resident of Stratford for the past 40 years coming from Milford, CT.

Jeanne worked for BIC Lighter Co. while living in Connecticut. After moving to Stratford she worked in Head start, as a Para and then as a Special-Ed teacher for Stratford School. She also drove school bus for many years for Nugent Bus Co. She retired from teaching in 2013.

Jeanne and Richard raised and showed Siberian Huskies for many years. She enjoyed gardening and farming. Jeanne was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish.

Jeanne is survived by three children Christine Whiting of North Stratford; Richard Havrda, Jr. of Dartmouth, Mass.; and Alyssa and David Scott of North Stratford; six grandchildren Gillian Scott and partner David Ratliff; Michael and Laura Scott; Lisa and Jayson Stinson; Jonathan Whiting and fiancée Rachel Donovan; Sarah Whiting; and Alexis Scott; three great-grandchildren Julianna Russo; Haylie Stinson and Charlotte Stinson; her dog Lola; nine siblings Linda Sparapani of Jupiter, FL; Deborah and Mark Frank of Lancaster, NH; Gale and Sue Soule of Trumbull, CT; William and Linda Soule of Milford, CT; Cheryl and Ernie Black of Rochester, NH; Karen Langley of Campton, NH; Judy and Paul McGinnis of Oxford, CT; Anita and Ron Pelchat of Lancaster, NH; and Robert Soule, Jr. and Sandra of Fitzwilliam, NH; one sister-in-law Marge Soule of West Haven, CT; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Richard M. Havrda, Sr. on December 22, 2017; her father Robert T. Soule, Sr. on September 19, 1991; her mother Lorraine (Paquette) Soule on October 28, 2016; her brother Gary Soule on October 26, 2009 and her dog Cleo.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4-6 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne and Richard will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in North Stratford on Friday May 11, 2018 at 10:00 am with Fr. Daniel Deveau, Pastor officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 pm on May 11, 2018 in the St. Amadeus Cemetery in Alburg, VT.
