NORMAN MURRAY WILES, JR., of Rush Road, Henniker, NH died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness, just eleven days before his 75 th birthday.
Norman was born on October 27, 1947, in Lancaster, NH a son of the late Norman Murray Wiles, Sr. and Eleanor (Woodward) Wiles.
Norman was a graduate of Groveton High School. He was a Groveton Alumni Association Newsletter editor; board member and past VP.
Norman was enlisted in the US Air Force from 1966 until 1970. He was a member of the American Legion Post #59.
Before retiring he was a computer programmer
Norman was a resident of Henniker for the past fifty-two years. He was a member of the St. Theresa's Parish in Henniker. He was an organist at St. Theresa's Parish for fifteen years.
Norman was a loving husband and father, and he loved fishing.
Norman is survived by his two daughters Amy Wiles of Henniker; and Julie Wiles of Lancaster; two brothers Dean Wiles of Groveton and Kim Wiles of Kingston; one sister Mary-Beth Gibson of Stark; one aunt Shirley Warren of Rochester and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norman was predeceased by his parents and one sister Sue Ann (Wiles) Merrill on June 2, 2020.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 10:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
