PETER RALPH COLLINS, SR., 73, of Egan Road, North Stratford died peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a sudden illness.

Peter was born on January 19, 1943 in New London, CT a son of Ralph A. and Dorothy (Carter) Collins and has been a resident of North Stratford for twenty-seven years coming from Freemont, NH.

Over the years, Peter was a truck driver and drove for Poplin Farms.  He collected coins; enjoyed fishing; camp at Great East Lake and just being outdoors.  He loved his Harley-Davidson; cars and Elvis Presley.  He was a grumpy man with a very soft heart and a great sense of humor.

Peter is survived by his wife 47 years, Jean (Smart) Collins of North Stratford; three children Brenda Breen and husband Jeff of Littleton, NH; Cheryl Trant and husband Johnny and Peter R. Collins, Jr. all of North Stratford; two grandchildren Felicia Breen and Alley Breen one brother Douglas Collins of Little Rock, AR; one sister Patricia Torres of Kimberton, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Peter's request there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
