PETER ARTHUR DOWSE, 69, of Main Street, Lancaster died peacefully in his sleep, with his family by his side on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster.

Peter was born in Stewartstown, New Hampshire on December 9, 1946 a son of Howard and Marion (Daley) Dowse.  He was raised in North Stratford, NH; lived in South Carolina for fourteen years and has been a resident of Lancaster for the past 32 years.

He worked as a truck driver for Currier Trucking for twenty-two years until he retired in 2009.

Peter is survived by his two daughters Michelle Collins and husband Roland and Angela Dowse; one brother Terry Dowse of North Stratford, NH and three nephews Steve Dowse, Ryan Dowse and Nathan Dowse.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Dennis Dowse.

At Peter's request there will be no calling hours or service at this time. A graveside service will be held on June 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Fairview Cemetery in North Stratford. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
