REAL JACQUES MARIER, 69, of Route 3, North Stratford died peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA surrounded by his loving family, after a four year illness. Real was born on September 16, 1945 in Magog, Quebec a son of Roger Emile and Beatrice (Bissonnette) Marier and has been a resident of North Stratford since 1948. He received his Associates Degree in Automotive Technology and made the Dean's List while in College. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam Era from April 1966 thru April 1972. Real was a member of the American Legion, Post #17, Groveton; and he enjoyed tinkering. Real is survived by his children Kenny Marier and wife Melissa of Littleton,; Trisha Lawton and husband Richie of Colebrook; Claire Gerald and husband Chad of Amherst; one grandson Kooper Marier; four siblings Marcel Marier of Stratford and Florida; Frank Marier, Cecile Canton, and Aline Shallow all of Stratford; several nieces and nephews and his cat Cleo. He was predeceased by his first wife Penelope (Barow) Marier in 1978; his second wife Rose Marie (Dupont) Marier in 2013; his parents; and one sister Pauline Hurlbert. At Real's request there will be no calling hours. A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau of the Sacred Heart Church, pastor officiating.
