RELYNE MARGUERITE (GRENIER) McKENZIE, 73, of Route 102 in Maidstone died peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness, with her loving family by her side. Relyne was born on June 20, 1941 in Disraeli, Quebec, Canada a daughter of Norbert and Leonette (Gagnon) Grenier. She has been a resident of Maidstone since 1987 coming from Northumberland. Relyne loved sewing; planting flowers and gardening; dancing and going with her husband grooming and snow machining. She loved taking pictures and using the camcorder. She was famous for her home made meat pies. Relyne and Raymond owned and operated McKenzie's Restaurant in Groveton for eight years. They spent a lot of time together on their swing at home enjoying each other's company and the surrounding scenery. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Raymond McKenzie of Maidstone; their six children: Josie Paquette and husband Chris of Groveton; Richard McKenzie and wife Tina of Maidstone, VT; Bridget McKenzie Beaton and fiancé Craig Beane of Whitefield; Bruno McKenzie and wife Brenda of Maidstone; and Sonia Connors and husband Terence of Woburn, MA; seventeen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relyne was predeceased by her parents and one brother Clarmont Grenier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Ridgewell Cemetery in Guildhall, VT.
