RENEE SUSAN HAMEL, formerly of Stark, died peacefully at Coos County Nursing Hospital in Stewartstown on April 25, 2013, just one month before her 50th birthday, after a long illness. Renee has been a resident at the Coos County Nursing hospital since 2000, where she received exceptionally fantastic care and was surrounded by wonderful and loving caregivers and friends. Renee was born on May 25, 1963 in Warwick, Rhode Island a daughter of Paul E. Hamel, Jr. and Judith A. Larochelle; she came to Stark in 1978 coming from Warwick, RI. She attended J. Arthur Trudeau Center in RI and the Vershire Center in Colebrook, NH. Renee's most favorite things were music, especially "Jesus Loves Me" and "You Are My Sunshine"; playing BINGO and to as she would say "party hardy" with her friends and family. Renee had to have a Starbuck's everyday to make her day complete. She touched so many lives and will be remembered for her sweet and innocent way of life. Renee is survived by her mother and step-father Judith and Paul Larochelle of Stark, NH; her father and step-mother Paul E. and Rosalie Hamel of Warwick, RI; two half-brothers; five aunts, Tammy, Kathy, Laurie, Dianna and Carol; one uncle, Jim and several cousins. She was predeceased by all four of her grandparents and her Uncle Ray. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 30th at 11:00 am in the Emerson Road Cemetery, with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton and Stark United Churches officiating. For those who wish to follow in procession to the cemetery please meet at the funeral home between 10:00 and 10:30 am Tuesday morning.
