RICHARD BURTON "DICKIE" JOHNSON, 82, of Dean Brook Dr, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness.

Dickie was born on December 28, 1940, in Manchester, NH a son of the late Norman R. and Marguerite L. (Salsbury) Johnson. He was a resident of Manchester until moving to Groveton in 2008.

Dickie was a graduate of West High School in Manchester, class of 1959. Before retiring, he worked for 47 years on the Highway Department for the City of Manchester. He was a US Army veteran. He was a true outdoors-man.

Dickie is survived by his beloved friend of 21 years Claire Brinn of Groveton; one sister Carol Lettre of Belmont, NH; and one nephew David Lettre and many friends

At Dickie's request, there will be no service. Burial of his cremains will be in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted tot he care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
