STARK US Veteran, served during two wars RICHARD F. "DICK" DALEY, SR., 80 of Cloutier Drive, Stark died June 30, 2005 at week's Medical Center, Lancaster after a sudden illness. Born in Marblehead. Mass, July 16, 1924 a son of the late Victor and Emily (Ferreria) Daley, he has been a resident for the past 10 years, coming from Beverly, Mass. He was a graduate of Swampscott High School in Mass., class of 1942. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Before retiring in 1988 he worked for over 40 years for the telephone company. For the past 13 years he has wintered in Florida and summered up North. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Groveton and also attended All Saints, Church in Lancaster. He is survived by his children; Richard F. Daley, Jr. and his wife Joan Daley of Lancaster; Elizabeth (Betty) Daley of Gloucester, Mass.; Nancy Daley of Burlington, Mass and Philip Daley of Cedar Island, NC; and five grandchildren. His longtime companion Susan Nuttall of Stark; one brother John Daley of Salem, Mass and two sisters Ann Pixly of Phoenix, Arizona and Joan Maloney of Bedford, NH/Gloucester, Mass. also survive him. At "Dick's" request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday, July 1, 2005 at 10:00 am at the All Saint's Catholic Church; 163 Main Street; Lancaster, NH, with Fr. Raymond Ball officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 P.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery; Route 3; Boscawen, NH. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Richard's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
