RICHARD A. "DEEK" "GEBO" HAND, 42 of Graham Street, Groveton died at his residence Saturday December 10, 2005 of natural causes after a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster, NH April 15, 1963 a son of Frederick C. and Doris V. (Maguire) Hand, Jr. He was a resident of the Groveton area all his life. He was employed as a Co-Gen operator for Groveton Paper Board, Co. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, post #17, Groveton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and solitary on his computer. He was an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his nephew Randy and his brother Donald. Richard is survived by his sixteen siblings and their spouses or significant others; Gerard Hand of Groveton; Margaret "Peggy" (Steve) Willard of North Springfield. VT; Raymond (Tina) Hand of North Stratford, NH; Larry (Nancy) Hand of Evans Mills, NY; Eleanor (Jody) Riley of Beecher Falls, VT; Doris (John) Kennett of North Stratford, NH; Wayne (Patsy) Hand of Bloomfield, VT; Mary Ann Hand of Charlestown, NH; David (Rosalie) Hand of Meredith, NH; Donald (Norma) Hand of Groveton; Jon (Sandra) Hand of Bloomfield, VT; Carrie (Erwin) Wiswell of Alexandria, NH; Connie Hand of Colebrook, NH; Lori (Cameron) Howard of Colebrook, NH; Dean (Rose) Hand of Colebrook, NH; and Terri Hand (Mike Beloin) of Colebrook, NH. He is also survived by one uncle, two aunts and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by both is parents. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Lawrence Clough officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Emerson Road Cemetery, Stark, NH.
