ROBERT "BOB" C. DORR, 95, of Monadnock Village in Colebrook; formerly of Old Village Road in Groveton, died peacefully at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital on Thursday, September 15, 2011. Born March 20, 1916 in Jefferson, NH he was the son of Graydon E. and Angelina (Mosher) Dorr. Bob was a resident Colebrook for the past eight years coming from Groveton where he had been a resident for 55 years after moving there from Guildhall, VT. Bob was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII. Bob owned his own auto shop "Bob and Elmer's" and also worked for Robert's Motor Sales as an auto mechanic. Bob was a life member of the Groveton Fish and Game; was a 46 year member of the American Legion Post 17 and the VFW post 6808 both of Groveton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his two daughters Mary Gray of Lancaster and Donna Laughton and her husband Jason of Clarksville, NH; eight grandchildren; Linwood P. Gray, Jr. of Stark; Laurance R. Gray of Stratford; Lori Champagne of Stratford; Lissa LaBounty and Derek Grimm of Salsbury; Krista Rainville and husband Albert of Colebrook; Jayco Laughton of Berlin; Ross Laughton of Socorro, New Mexico and Ariel Laughton of Clarksville and nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Marion (McAllister) Dorr on February 5, 1992, his parents, one sister Elfrieda "Freda" Stewart, one great grandson Andre Champagne and one son-in-law Linwood P. Gray, Sr. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Summer Street Cemetery on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
