Obituary

Robert (Bob) O. Dupuis, 87, of Whitefield passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday June 2, 2013 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born in Groveton, NH on August 23, 1925 the son of the late Ovila and Vivian (Connoley) Dupuis. Robert spent his childhood and young adulthood in Groveton and attended Groveton High School. He worked for many years in the grocery business. He and his wife Eleanor owned and operated Dupuis' Market on Main St. in Groveton for many years and later moved to Woodsville, NH where he managed a grocery store. After he retired from the grocery business he obtained his real estate license and worked for Century 21 for a few years. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques and collectables, having yard sales, playing bingo and most of all going to Nashua to spend time with his children and their families. He was currently living at the McIntyre Apts. in Whitefield, where he had many friends, including Doris Beaudoin and her family. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Penney Dupuis, his brother and sister-in-law Maurice and Jane Dupuis, his sister and brother-in law Lucille and Norman Savage and a half-sister Dorothy Dupuis Adams. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Charlotte Emery of Contoocook, NH and Janice and Jim Boswell of Nashua, NH as well as two granddaughters and two great granddaughters. He is also survived by a half sister Janet (and Bill) Gagnon and a half brother Bernard Dupuis all of Groveton, his sister in-law Rita Penney of Littleton and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday June 6th from 7-9 PM at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State St. Groveton. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 7 at 10 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Burial will be at the Northumberland Cemetery immediately following the mass. There will be a light lunch at the Church Hall after the burial.
