ROBERT EARL "BOB" MacILVANE, 86, of Peacham, VT, and formerly of Guildhall, VT, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 30, 2025, with his loving daughters by his side.

Bob was born on November 20, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, NY, the son of the late Robert L. and Charlotte (Haubold) McIlvane. He attended Fox Lane High School, married Claire Kupetz in 1963, and moved to Vermont in 1969.

Bob was a US Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. He worked as a master plumber for Groveton Plumbing and Heating (owner), Fitch Fuel, and Gosselin Plumbing and Heating. Bob was a member of both the Jefferson Christian Church in Jefferson, NH, and the North Danville Baptist Church in North Danville, VT.

Bob enjoyed law enforcement, volunteering his time with the VT State Police, VT Fish & Wildlife Department, and The Essex County Sheriff's Department.

A champion archer in the Northeast, Bob shared his love for the sport of archery every second he could, as both a competitor and a teacher. His love for instinctive shooting led him to the art of building custom bows (REMBOW) and arrows that he sold in his Guildhall, VT bow shop, Bob's Archery. His number one love, however, was for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob continued to share his love for Jesus with all those he encountered, right through the end of his life.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Claire, of 59 years. He is survived by two daughters Charlotte MacIlvane of Manchester, NH, and Ruth Vaal (husband Mark) of Barnet, VT, and five grandchildren Madeline Vaal, Fallon Methot, Thomas Vaal, Charlie Vaal, and Logan Methot.

At Bob's request, there will be no services. Burial of Bob's remains will be in the Ridgewell Cemetery in Guildhall, VT at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, NH.
