ROGER JAMES LEO "JIM" BOYLE, 86, of Groveton, died peacefully at his home in Lakeland, FL, where he had been a resident for a few months, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 16, 2022.

Jim was born on June 1, 1936, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Donald Leo Boyle. He was raised and lived in the Hartford area most of his life until moving to Groveton, NH 31 years ago and then Lakeland, FL.

Jim was a veteran of the US Air Force and served his country from 1954 to 1957. He was a member of the Groveton American Legion, Post # 17.

Jim worked at the American Eagle Credit Union in East Hartford, CT until his retirement. James for many years taught martial arts to students in his home. He loved kayaking, white water rafting, parachuting, mountain climbing, camping, and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

James is survived by his two children James Boyle and wife Betsy of Keystone Heights, FL, and Evelyn Hopkins and husband Mike of Groveton, NH; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Memorial graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Emerson Road Cemetery, Stark, NH. Arrangements are entrusted to the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
