ROGER DENNIS MAYHEW, 83, formerly of Lancaster, NH, died peacefully at his daughter Marcia Moulton and son-in-law David’s home in Campton, NH, on Friday, May 15, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.
Roger was born in Lancaster, NH, on June 21, 1942, a son of the late Robert Everett and Emily Jean (Fuller) Mayhew. He was always proud to announce that he was born in the Lancaster bowling alley, which was then the Lancaster hospital.
Roger, over the years, worked as a data processor for IBM, an accountant at Timberland Machines for 18 years, at Groveton Paper Co. for 19 years, as a manager for a brewery, and at Ethan Allen Furniture factory in Beecher Falls, VT.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Bethany Shields of Morrisville, NC, husband Bryan, and daughter Jade; his daughter Marcia Moulton of Campton, NH, and husband David; his siblings Neil Mayhew, Bill Kimball and wife Terri, Donna Eason and husband Doug, Liz Mayhew and husband Doug, Susan Mayhew and husband Jeff, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Mayhew, mother Emily Kimball, step-father Raymond Kimball, and brother Perry Kimball.
At Roger's request, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
The family would like to give a special thank you to North Country Home Health and Hospice for the loving care the nursing and medical team gave to Roger, allowing him to spend his final days at home with Marcia and David, in comfort.
