STARK DECORATED KOREAN CONFLICT VETERAN ROLLIN F. SIMINO, 73, of Stark died peacefully Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville after a lengthy illness. Born in Sheffield, VT on August 4, 1932 a son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Friend) Simino he was a resident of the Stark area for most of his life. Rollin was a US Army combat veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, with multiple decorations. Before retiring he was a self-employed logger and enjoyed axe and chainsaw competitions, pool, horseshoes and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Louise (Dowland) Simino of Stark; five children Roland and wife Ruby Simino of Middleton, NH; Robin and wife Jill Simino of Dixon, Missouri; Koren and husband Andy Labrecque of Stark; Sheila Simino and fiancé Kevin Kleinpeter of Groveton and Brenda Simino of Portland, Maine. Twelve grandchildren, Ryan and Andrea Labrecque; Jessica Simino Riendeau; Shawn and Courtney McLain; Chris and Katie Simino; Lucus, Libby and Taylor Simino and Mike and Samantha Simino and two great grandsons also survive him along with nine sibling Richard Simino of Glover, VT; Carol Blay of Piermont, NH; Joseph Simino of Claremont, NH; Shirley Valencourt of Texas; Jack Simino of Newport, NH; Wayne Simino of Claremont, NH; Frank Simino of Woodsville, NH; Gertrude "Peggy" Simino of Claremont, NH and Charlie Simino of Claremont, NH. He was predeceased by one son Michael Simino on August 20, 1995 and two brothers Jerry Simino in 1989 and Roger Simino September 24, 2005 Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 7th at 1 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Lawrence Clough officiating. Burial will follow in the Emerson Road Cemetery.
