RONALD "RONNY" ELWIN MARTIN, 64, of Mill Brook Road, Bloomfield died peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a sudden illness. Born on January 26, 1949 in West Stewartstown, NH a son of Shirley J. Martin Sr. and Flora E. (Shatney) Martin, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of the Stratford High School, class of 1967. He worked for 38 years as a tow-motor operator for Wausau Papers in Groveton. Ronny was a member of the Groveton United Methodist Church; a member of the Crafty Old Birds group in Colebrook; and was the treasurer for the Lancaster Senior Citizens. He loved to attend church; cook; sing; walk; hike; visit and talk your ear off. Ronny is survived by his wife of 33 years Lisa (Falardeau) Martin of Bloomfield; two sons Norman Pelkey of Mesa, Arizona and David Pelkey and girlfriend Stacy of Gorham, NH; four grandchildren; four siblings Carole Tyler of Brunswick, VT; Betty Williams and husband Larry of Bloomfield, VT; Claire Steady and husband G. Gordon of Berlin, NH; and Danny Ray Martin and wife Darlene of Colebrook, NH; sister-in-law Sue Eastman and husband Donald of Milan, NH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Flora; father Shirley, Sr. and one brother Shirley, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6-9pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Groveton United Methodist Church with Pastor Aaron Cox officiating.
