SAMUEL "SAM" JOHN GAUDETTE , 65, of Groveton died unexpectedly at his home on March 25, 2023, after a sudden illness.

Sam was born on April 26, 1957, in Lancaster, NH, the oldest of three sons born to Arthur and Ruth (Ingerson) Gaudette. He was a lifelong resident of Groveton, with the exception of his time in the US Army.

He was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1975. After high school, he served in the US Army and then traveled the country via hitch-hiking.

Sam worked as a Mill Wright for James River and Wausau Papers until 2003.

Sam was synonymous for Harley-Davidson motor cycle, even after his accident. His favorite things to do were, riding his Harley with Bob Colebank and spending time with is grandchildren.

Sam is survived by his wife Donna Gaudette of Lancaster; daughter Samantha Gaudette of Lancaster; son David Price and wife Stephanie of Milan; five grandchildren; two brothers Tom "Yogi" Gaudette and wife Kathy of Groveton, and Bruce Gaudette and wife Teresa of Jonesborough, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Arthur on August 3, 2001, and his mother Ruth on June 6, 2020.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Sam's 66 ^th birthday, April 26, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home with Terri A. Charron, Esq., officiating. Burial of his cremains will be in the Northumberland Cemetery at a later date.
