SANDRA LUCILLE "SANDY" (DONOVAN) SKILLEN, 79, of Hollow Rd.; Stratford, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving husband by her side.

Sandy was born on May 29, 1942, in West Haven, CT the daughter of the late Edward and Marjorie (Catell) Donovan.

Sandy was a graduate of the Wilbert Cross High School in New Haven, CT., class of 1961. Over the years, she worked for Borden's Dairy in Connecticut as a saleslady; Keller Kraft-Kodak Co., and as a receptionist for Consolidated Freight Co.

Sandy and Joe moved from Beaver Falls, PA to Stratford twenty-five years ago.

Sandy loved riding her motorcycle and when she could no longer drive her own, she rode with Joe. She enjoyed crocheting, making numerous blankets; cooking, and taking care of Joe. She was a real homebody. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved going to Oxford Casino.

Sandy is survived by her husband George Joseph "Joe" Skillen of Stratford; one brother John Gerbi; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
