IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Marie
Houle
February 7, 1954 – March 27, 2023
Sharon Marie Houle died March 27, 2023, in Okeechobee, Fl.
She was born February 7, 1954 in Lancaster, New Hampshire. She was raised and lived in Groveton, New Hampshire with her parents, Joe Houle "The Barber", mother, Viola, and sister, Barbara. She attended Groveton High School and received her Bachelor's in Business Administration with an Associate Degree in Accounting.
She lived in Rutland, Vermont for seven years where she met her best friends, Deb and Doreen. Not being a fan of New England winters, she moved to California. She loved living there and met many lifelong friends. She had 33 avocado trees and loved having picking parties.
During her time in California, she jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, went scuba diving at night in Hawaii, traveled to Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica and Europe. For a Groveton girl, she got around!
She worked for BAE Systems for 36 years before retiring in 2016 when she bought an RV (31' with car in tow) and went traveling the US including Alaska with her friend, Dori. She enjoyed spending her summers in Maine at Barker's Pond and winters in Florida with all her friends at the Okeechobee KOA.
Every year she attended her class reunion for Groveton High School (Class of '72) with her small class of 40 which she looked forward to every year.
She is predeceased by her mother, Viola Houle, and her father, Joseph Houle.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Brunet (Richard Cote) as well as two nieces, Cindy O'Brien (David) and Tricia Ricker (Dan); her sister from another mother, Deb Bennett; and her very loving cat, Precious.
As Sharon often said, "Enjoy life!"
In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be made in her memory to: The G.H.S. Alumni Association
