Shelly Cross Crowell August 18, 1968 - April 6, 2009 Shelly was born August 18, 1968 in Endicott, NY and moved with her family around the country finally settling in the Coachella Valley in California. Shelly eventually relocated to Lancaster New Hampshire following her father's retirement to his cabin at Martin Meadow Pond. She had purchased a home in Guildhall Vermont and was living there at the time of her passing. She had contracted a rare form of cancer and had battled the disease for almost two years. She succumbed to complications of the disease April 6, 2009. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and mother Brenda Cross. Shelly is survived by her father William Cross, husband Jaime Crowell and daughter Tori Crowell; sister, Sheila & Wes Arita, uncle James & Diane Cross, uncle Norman Cross, niece & nephews Brandon & Brittany Arita, Fred & David Cross. Shelly was involved with the community of Guildhall, the local school, 4H, and many other activities. One of her first passions was cooking; she had been in the catering business during her initial move to Lancaster. She was the favorite caterer for the local Rotary luncheons. Her baking and cooking talents are known far and wide in the local areas. Many local businesses will fondly remember her gourmet meals prepared for them for weddings, business lunches, dinners and appetizers. Her artistic abilities were second to none. Her love of animals was known to everyone. Shelly was always known for caring for others before herself. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A memorial service will be held at the Guildhall community church in Guildhall, VT on Saturday April 11, 2009 at 11:00 am. A light lunch will be served at the Guildhall following the service.
