STANLEY L. "UNCLE MICK" BROOKS, SR., 58, of Main Street, died unexpectedly at his home, April 9, 2006. Born June 15,1947 in Lancaster, NH a son of Philbert, Sr. and Rose (Gaudette) Brooks, he was a lifelong resident of Groveton. Before becoming unable to work Stanley worked for Campbell Envelope as a mill-right. He loved to play cards, especially poker and cribbage. Stanley loved fishing, keep in touch with friends via the computer and spend time with family and friends. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose; Groveton. Stanley is survives by his children Esaundra "Pessy" and Vince Gaudette of Franklin, NH; Michael and Deanna Brooks of Paige, Texas and Stanley Brooks, Jr. and Melissa Gort of North Stratford; four grandchildren Garrett Gaudette; Megan Gaudette; Adreanna Brooks and Zachary Brooks. Hw is also survived by his siblings Marilyn "June" Roy of Berlin; Philbert, Jr. and Theresa Brooks and Evelena "Neenee" and Roger Chauvette all of Groveton along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his Mother January 12, 1989 and his father July 11, 2005. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 14, 200 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery.
