STEPHEN DAN "GIBBY" GIBBS, 57, of Pleasant Valley Road, North Stratford, died peacefully at Radius Specialty Hospital in Roxbury, MA after a lengthy illness. Born on September 8, 1954 in Waterville, ME he was the son of Stanley and Ruby (Lessor) Gibbs and was a resident of North Stratford for the past 26 years coming from Waterville, ME. "Gibby" was a graduate of Lawrence High School in Fairfield, ME as part of the class of 1972. He worked as a carpenter and millwright for the Local 407 Union Hall in Lewiston, ME for many years. Stephen was a veteran of the United State Marine Corp. He enjoyed snow machining; boating; skiing; fishing and motorcycling. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. "Gibby" is survived by his wife of 38 years Pauline (Benoit) Gibbs of North Stratford; four daughters Tonya Gibbs of North Stratford; Megan Gibbs and Jack Call of Groveton; Diana Gibbs and Derick Moody of Groveton and Stephanie Gibbs and Goeffrey Younglove of Errol; seven grandchildren; his father Stanley Gibbs of Burnham, ME/Benson, Arizona; three sisters Pamela & Jim Goodine; Debra Beltz and Colleen & Robert Langley all of Clinton, ME and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Ruby. Memorial calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 1-3 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Beesley officiating.
