VALERIE ANN (OAKES) LEBORGNE, 61, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Coos County Nursing Hospital in Stewartstown, after a lengthy illness.

Valerie was born in Lancaster, NH on July 8, 1963, a daughter of Kenneth B. Oakes, Sr. and Mary A. (Parks) Oakes. She graduated from Groveton High School in 1982. Over the years she resided in the Berlin/Gorham area and Groveton until moving to Clarksville and then Stewartstown in 2020.

Valerie enjoyed doing word finds; music and watching TV especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Valerie is survived by her mother Mary A. Oakes of Dalton; brother Kenneth Oakes, Jr and wife Danielle of Dalton; two sisters Kristine Fraser and husband Donald of Lancaster; and Dorothea Towle and husband David of Waxahachie, TX; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Kenneth B. Oakes, Sr on October 16, 2006; and her husband of seven years Donald Leborgne on June 5, 2005.

There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton with Fr. Timothy Brooks of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the Northumberland Cemetery at a later time.
